R2511-HP MSR Router Series IP Multicast Command Reference(V5)
459
Usage guidelines
The router ID of the route reflector is the ID of the cluster. You can configure multiple route reflectors to
improve network stability. If a cluster has multiple route reflectors, use the reflector cluster-id command to
specify the same cluster ID for these route reflectors to avoid routing loops.
Examples
# Set 50 as the cluster ID for the route reflector, which is one of multiple route reflectors in the cluster.

refresh bgp ipv6 multicast
Use refresh bgp ipv6 multicast to soft-reset specified IPv6 MBGP connections. With this feature, you can
refresh the IPv6 MBGP routing table and apply a new policy without terminating IPv6 MBGP
connections.
Syntax

| import }

Default command level
1: M o n i t o r l e ve l
Parameters
ipv6-address: Specifies an IPv6 MBGP peer by its IPv6 address.
all: Specifies all IPv6 MBGP connections.
external: Specifies IPv6 multicast EBGP connections.
group ipv6-group-name: Specifies an IPv6 multicast peer group by its name, a string of 1 to 47
characters.
internal: Specifies IPv6 multicast IBGP connections.
export: Specifies the outbound direction.
import: Specifies the inbound direction.
Usage guidelines
To perform IPv6 MBGP soft-reset, all routers in the network should support route-refresh. If a peer does not
support route refresh, you must use the peer keep-all-routes command on the local router to save all route
updates from the peers before a soft reset.
Examples
# Soft-reset the IPv6 MBGP connections in the inbound direction.
