Default command level
2: System level
Parameters
mac-address: Specifies a MAC address in the format of H-H-H.
Usage guidelines
VLAN-interfaces are virtual interfaces that are manually created and removed. Upon creation, a
VLAN-interface borrows the MAC address of a physical interface on the device. For this reason, all
VLAN-interfaces on a device share the same MAC address. In some applications, to avoid MAC address
collisions, use this command to set different MAC addresses for different VLAN-interfaces.
Examples
# Assign MAC address 0001-0001-0001 to VLAN-interface 11.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface vlan-interface 11
[Sysname-Vlan-interface11] mac-address 1-1-1
mtu
Use mtu to set the MTU for a VLAN-interface.
Use undo mtu to restore the default.
