Parameters
protocol: ISDN protocol, which can be ansi, at&t, dss1, etsi, ni, ni2, ntt, qsig, or 5ess.
Usage guidelines
You are allowed to configure:
• ANSI ISDN on BRI and CT1/PRI interfaces.
• AT&T ISDN on CT1/PRI interfaces.
• 5ESS ISDN on CT1/PRI interfaces. If 5ESS ISDN is configured, you are not allowed to configure the
isdn overlap-sending command or the isdn ignore sending-complete command. Rather, the isdn
ignore hlc command and the isdn ignore llc command are performed by default.
• DSS1 ISDN on BRI, CE1/PRI, and CT1/PRI interfaces.
• ETSI ISDN on BRI, CE1/PRI, and CT1/PRI interfaces.
• NI (National ISDN) on BRI interfaces.
• NI2 on CT1/PRI interfaces.
• QSIG ISDN on CE1/PRI and CT1/PRI interfaces.
• NTT ISDN on BRI and CT1/PRI interfaces.
You are not allowed to configure this command on an ISDN interface if a call still exists on it. This
command can take effect only if it is configured when no call exists on the interface. Alternatively, you
can manually disable the interface by executing the shutdown command, configure the command, and
then enable the interface by executing the undo shutdown command. The operations, however, will lead
to the disconnection of the call existing on the interface.
Examples
