Usage guidelines
This command is available in only the TTY user interface view of an AM interface. You can configure this
command in the TTY user interface view of other interfaces. However, the configuration does not take
effect.
For a POS terminal connected to an AM interface, if the FEP wants to obtain the caller number of the POS
terminal, the POS access device must obtain the caller number of the POS terminal and send the caller
number to the FEP before forwarding data from the POS terminal to the FEP. When the FEP responds, the
modem can forward the data from the terminal to the FEP. This function works with the POS terminal to
implement caller number sending. For more information about the caller number of the POS terminal, see
Terminal Access Configuration Guide.
