Use link-protocol x25 to enable X.25 encapsulation on the specified interface.
Syntax
link-protocol x25 [ dce |dte ] [ ietf | nonstandard ]
Default
The link-layer protocol for the interface is PPP. When the interface uses X.25 protocol, it operates in DTE
IETF mode by default.

Parameters
dce: Specifies the DCE mode.
dte: Specifies the DTE mode.
ietf: Encapsulates IP or other network protocols on the X.25 network according to IETF RFC 1356.
nonstandard: Encapsulates IP or other network protocols on the X.25 network in a non-standard way.
Usage guidelines
When two routers are connected through the X.25 public packet network, they shall operate as DTE and
use IETF format.
If two routers are directly connected, one router shall operate as DTE, the other as DCE. Both parties
should use the same data format.
If the X.25 switching function is used, the device should operate as DCE.
In practice, select the IETF format if no special requirement is imposed.
