Syntax
pre-shared-key { cipher | simple } key-string
undo pre-shared-key

Parameters
cipher: Sets a ciphertext pre-shared key.
simple: Sets a plaintext pre-shared key.
string-key: Specifies the key string. This argument is case sensitive. If simple is specified, it must be a string
of 1 to 31 characters. If cipher is specified, it must be a ciphertext string of 1 to 73 characters.
Usage guidelines
Configure the same pre-shared keys for all the devices on the same VPN. The VAM server and clients use
the configured pre-shared key to generate the keys for protecting protocol packets.
For security purposes, all keys, including keys configured in plain text, are saved in cipher text to the
configuration file.
Examples
# Set a plaintext key 123 for VAM client abc.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] vam client name abc
[Sysname-vam-client-name-abc] pre-shared-key simple 123

resend interval
Use resend interval to set the interval for the VAM client to resend VAM protocol packets.
Use undo resend interval to restore the default.
