Configuring FR DLCI or FR port mode encapsulation

3. Configure the link layer
protocol.
link-protocol fr [ nonstandard | ietf

By default, the link layer protocol
of an interface is PPP.
4. Enter FR point-to-point
subinterface view.

Required for FR DLCI
encapsulation.
5. Create a virtual circuit.
fr dlci dlci-number
By default, no virtual circuit exists.
Required for FR DLCI
encapsulation.
The DLCI number must be the same
as that configured on the
connected CE.
Configuring Ethernet encapsulation
By default, a Layer 3 Ethernet interface, a Layer 3 virtual Ethernet interface, or a VE-L2VPN-Terminate
interface uses Ethernet encapsulation. For configuration information about Layer 3 Ethernet interfaces,
see Interface Configuration Guide. For configuration information about Layer 3 virtual Ethernet interfaces,
see Layer 2—WAN Configuration Guide. For configuration information about VE-L2VPN-Terminate
interfaces, see "Configuring L2VPN access to L3VPN or IP backbone."
When the PE-CE interface of a PE is a Layer 3 Ethernet interface, a Layer 3 virtual Ethernet interface, or
a VE-L2VPN-Terminate interface, you must configure the default next hop on the PE-CE interface of the PE
to implement MPLS L2VPN interworking.
To configure Ethernet encapsulation on a PE-CE interface of a PE:
