connection [ ce-offset ce-id ]
interface interface-type
interface-number [ tunnel-policy
tunnel-policy-name ]
The ce-offset ce-id option
determines whether the connection
is a local connection or a remote
connection. If the specified CE is
connected to the same PE as the
local CE, the connection is a local
connection. Otherwise, the
connection is a remote connection.
The interface interface-type
interface-number option specifies a
PE-CE interface of the PE. By
specifying the interface, you bind
the AC link on the interface to the
Kompella connection.

Configuring Soft GRE
Soft GRE can replace MPLS LDP, MPLS TE, or GRE to set up a public tunnel. It has simper configuration.
After Soft GRE is enabled on a PE, the PE does the following:
• If no public tunnel exists, or the existing public tunnel does not meet the tunnel policy requirements,
the PE uses Soft GRE to create a public tunnel.
Soft GRE encapsulates Layer 2 data packets containing VC labels with a GRE header and IP
header. The source IP address of the IP header is the local LSR ID, and the destination IP address
is the remote PE address.
• If a public tunnel exists, the PE uses the public tunnel to encapsulate packets.
Only SVC MPLS L2VPN supports Soft GRE.
