R2511-HP MSR Router Series Network Management and Monitoring Command Reference(V5)
97
priv-password: Specifies the privacy password string. This argument is case sensitive. If simple is
specified, it must be a string of 1 to 16 characters. If cipher is specified, it must be a ciphertext string of
1 to 53 characters. If neither cipher nor simple is specified, you set a plaintext string.
Usage guidelines
The command can only be executed once on the management device. This configuration is synchronized
to member devices on the whitelist, which is equivalent to configuring multiple member devices at one
time.
The SNMPv3 group user is retained when a cluster is dismissed or a member device is deleted from the
whitelist.
If the same username as the current one has been configured on a member device, the current username
replaces the original one on the member device.
