Basic RTC initiator configuration

Synchronous and asynchronous
interfaces are supported.
7. Configure the asynchronous
serial interface to operate in
flow mode.

Use either command.
By default, an asynchronous serial
interface operates in the protocol
mode, an AUX interface operates
in the flow mode, and a serial
interface operates in the PPP
protocol mode.

8. Configure the protocol type of
the synchronous serial
interface as HDLC.

9. Apply the template to the
interface.

After you apply the template to the
interface, you must set the flow
control mode of the user interface
corresponding to the interface to
software flow control. To view
associations between interfaces
and user interfaces, use the display
user-interface command.
