The maximum number of Selected ports allowed in an aggregation group is limited by one of the
following, whichever value is smaller:
The configured maximum number.
Hardware capability.
You can configure backup between two ports by performing the following tasks:
Assign two ports to an aggregation group.
Configure the maximum number of Selected ports allowed in the aggregation group as one.
In this way, only one Selected port is allowed in the aggregation group at any point in time, while the
Unselected port serves as a backup port.
Examples
# Configure the maximum number of Selected ports allowed as 5 in the aggregation group that
corresponds to Layer 3 aggregate interface Route-Aggregation 1.

number: Specifies the minimum number of Selected ports in an aggregation group required to bring up
the aggregate interface. The value range is 1 to 8.
Usage guidelines
Executing this command might cause all member ports in the aggregation group to become unselected.
The minimum number of Selected ports allowed in the aggregation groups of the local and peer ends
must be consistent.
