Parameters
none: Performs no authentication on clients.
chap: Performs CHAP authentication.
pap: Performs PAP authentication.
domain isp-name: Specifies an ISP domain for authentication. The isp-name argument is a
case-insensitive string of 1 to 24 characters. It cannot include back slashes (\), vertical bars (|), slashes
(/), colons (:), asterisks (*), question marks (?), quotation marks (”), left angle brackets (<), right angle
brackets (>), and at signs (@). If you do not specify this option, the default domain that you configure is
used for authentication.
Usage guidelines
If the specified ISP domain does not exist, the authentication will fail. A newly configured authentication
method does not affect registered VAM clients. It applies to subsequently registered VAM clients.
