Parameters
interval: Sets the interval for sending hello messages, in the range of 0 to 18000 seconds. If the value for
this argument is 0, no hello messages are sent.
Usage guidelines
You can set the interval for sending hello messages in PIM view or interface view. The configurations
made in PIM view take effect on all interfaces, and the configurations made in interface view take effect
only on the current interface. If you set the interval in both PIM view and interface view, the configuration
in interface view always takes precedence.
Examples
# Set the interval for sending hello messages to 40 seconds on Ethernet 1/1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface ethernet 1/1
[Sysname-Ethernet1/1] pim timer hello 40
