Related commands
display interface vlan-interface
mac-address
Use mac-address to assign a MAC address to a VLAN interface.
Use undo mac-address to delete the MAC address of a VLAN interface.
Syntax
mac-address mac-address
undo mac-address
Views
VLAN interface view
Predefined user roles
network-admin
Parameters
mac-address: Specifies a MAC address in the format of H-H-H.
Usage guidelines
VLAN interfaces are virtual interfaces that are manually created and removed. Upon creation, a VLAN
interface borrows the MAC address of a physical interface on the device. For this reason, all VLAN
interfaces on a device share the same MAC address. In some applications, to avoid MAC address
collisions, use this command to set different MAC addresses for different VLAN interfaces.
Examples
# Assign MAC address 0001-0001-0001 to VLAN-interface 2.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface vlan-interface 2
[Sysname-Vlan-interface2] mac-address 1-1-1
mtu
Use mtu to set the MTU for a VLAN interface.
Use undo mtu to restore the default.
Syntax
mtu size
undo mtu
