EV-DO refers to CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network, which is optimized packet data service and high
frequency efficiency CDMA radio technology. It provides high data transfer services, but not voice
services.
A hybrid of the 1xRTT network and the EV-DO network combines the advantages of the two networks to
provide users with both voice services and high data transfer services.
