When the device is communicating with a PBX:
• ISDN must wait for a CONNECT ACK message in response to a CONNECT message before it can
switch to the ACTIVE state to start data and voice service communications.
• ISDN needs to reply to the peer with a CONNECT ACK message after receiving a CONNECT
message.

incoming: Switches the ISDN protocol state to ACTIVE after sending a CONNECT message without
having to wait for a CONNECT ACK message from the PBX.
outgoing: Switches the ISDN protocol state to ACTIVE after receiving a CONNECT message without
sending a CONNECT ACK message.
Usage guidelines
When the device is communicating with a PBX, its settings must be the same as those on the PBX.
You can execute this command only if no call exists on the ISDN interface.

# Set the call process on BRI 2/0 to proceed to the ACTIVE state without waiting for a CONNECT ACK

isdn ignore hlc
Use isdn ignore hlc to disable ISDN from carrying the HLC information element in setup messages sent
when placing voice calls.
Use undo isdn ignore hlc to restore the default.
Syntax
isdn ignore hlc
undo isdn ignore hlc
Default
When the ISDN protocol is 5ESS or QSIG, setup messages do not include the HLC information element.
For other ISDN protocols, setup messages include the HLC information element.
