Configuring a 3G network
3G networks include CDMA 2000, TD-SCDMA, and WCDMA networks. Support for accessing which
networks depends on the modem model.
A 3G modem needs to search mobile networks in a public land mobile network (PLMN), which is
uniquely identified by the mobile country code (MCC) and the mobile network code (MNC). In most
cases, a 3G modem can automatically access a PLMN. To manually specify a PLMN for a 3G modem,
first search for available mobile networks.
