Feature and hardware compatibility
ISDN is supported only on the BS, BU, E1, and T1 interface modules.
ISDN PRI configuration prerequisites
Before you can use a CE1/PRI or CT1/PRI interface to provide ISDN PRI services, you must use the pri-set
command to bundle timeslots into channel sets on the interface. For each PRI set, the system creates a
serial interface automatically. To configure ISDN settings for a PRI set, you must enter the view of this
serial interface.
For more information about timeslot bundling, see the WAN interface part in Interface Configuration
Guide.
ISDN configuration task list
This chapter describes only ISDN configurations on a BRI or PRI interface. For more information about
other BRI and PRI interface configurations, see Interface Configuration Guide.
