send callback requests.
4. (Optional.) Configure the dial
string for a Windows NT server
to place return calls.
ppp callback ntstring dial-number
By default, no dial string is
configured for a Windows NT
server to call back.
Configure this command if a
Windows NT server requires
callback clients to send callback
numbers.
Configuring the callback server
You can configure the callback server to use traditional DDR or bundle DDR. The configuration
differences are as follows:
• Traditional DDR—The callback server can place return calls according to the dial string configured
with the dialer route command (PPP authentication must be configured), or according to the
username for PPP authentication. You must select either method by using the dialer callback-center
command. Additionally, configure callback client usernames by using the dialer route command,
so the callback server can authenticate callback clients.
• Bundle DDR—The callback server can place return calls only according to callback numbers.
