R0106-HP MSR Router Series MPLS Command Reference(V7)

139
Usage guidelines
After failing to establish an MPLS TE tunnel, the tunnel ingress node waits for the tunnel setup retry
interval. Then it tries to set up the tunnel until the tunnel is established successfully or the number of tunnel
setup attempts reaches the maximum (configured by the mpls te retry command). If the tunnel cannot be
established when the number of attempts reaches the maximum, the ingress waits for a longer period
and then repeats the previous process.
Examples
# Configure the setup retry interval as 20 seconds for tunnel 0.

Parameters
index index-number: Specifies an index for the node in the explicit path, in the range of 1 to 65535. If
you do not specify an index, MPLS TE automatically calculates an index for the node, the value of which
is the current maximum index value plus 100.
ip-address: Specifies a node by its IP address in dotted decimal notation.
exclude: Excludes the specified node from the explicit path.
include: Includes the specified node on the explicit path.
loose: Specifies the node as a loose node, which means the specified node and its previous hop can be
connected indirectly.
strict: Specifies the node as a strict node, which means the node and its previous hop must be directly
connected.
