Finalizing the rack mount procedure

This section tells you how to slide the switch into the rack and secure the chassis to the

rack rails.

Sliding the switch into the rack

1. Before lifting the chassis into the rack, determine an easy access route for cables or cords. Make

sure that cables do not get pinned under the weight of the chassis.

2. Position the lift device next to the switch.

3. Position one technician at the front of the chassis, and the second technician at the rear of the

chassis. Carefully move the chassis onto the lift device.
