5 Type d:\nt40 and then click on the OK button. Follow the
instructions that appear on the screen.
(The CD-ROM drive may be your E drive. In this case you would
enter e:\nt40. You can check by clicking the Browse button in the
Run Installation Program dialog box, and then browsing to the
CD-ROM drive.)
6 Before restarting your computer, it is recommended you do the
following:
a If there is not enough IRQ (Interrupt Request) in your system,
you can select Disable for MPU IRQ. This will not affect the
performance of MPU401. To do this, click on the Devices tab in
the Multimedia Properties dialog box. In the list of devices,
expand the line
Midi Devices and Instruments. Select the
midi driver
Midi for 16-bit Sound Card MPU401 Driver.
Click Properties, then Settings. In the MPU IRQ check box, use
the scroll arrow to select Disable.
b Full Duplex Mode should be enabled by default.
To verify this, click on the Devices tab in the Multimedia
Properties dialog box. In the list of devices, expand the line
Audio Devices. Select the audio driver Audio for 16-bit
Sound Card Audio Driver
. Click Properties, then Settings.
The Full Duplex check box should display enabled. If this is not
the case, then use the scroll arrow to select Enable.
7 Restart the computer.

Installing the CD-ROM and Sound Board Drivers
1 Start Windows NT if it is not already running.
2 From the Main program group, double-click on the Windows NT
Setup icon .
3 From the Options menu, select Add/Remove SCSI Adapters.
4 In the SCSI Adapter Setup window, click on Add and then click on
OK at the advisory message to continue.
