the value and press the Start button to continue. Please note that the discovery
process can halt other operations of the 3Com phone system. It is recommended
to discover the ports when halting other operations will not affect normal business
operations. If the discover process must be done during normal business hours, it
is recommended to discover the devices in small batches to minimize the load on
the phone system. This is done by discovering 2 devices, then 4 devices, then 6
devices and so on. Discovering the devices in this manner will discover the ports
2 at a time because the total you enter is an inclusive total. The wave phone(s)
must be discovered without errors before you continue.

30. After a short delay, the number of WAV phones you entered will be initialized,
discovered and then shutdown. In this example, 20 wave phones were discovered
so the window displays:
Wave Phone 0 - 19 were discovered
If there are errors during the discovery press the "Close" button, then press the
"Failed Test" button from the configuration wizard for a list of the most common
reasons. If none of the reasons apply to your situation, then it is still advised to
reboot the computer and try at least one more time to discover the wave phones
before contacting 3Com technical support. After rebooting, you can start the
3Com NBX Media Driver configuration wizard by clicking on Start > Programs
> 3Com NBX > NBX Media Driver - Configuration Wizard.
