10.3 Ports and Firewalls
To ensure THINTUNE communications to the firmware server and/or the management server beyond any routers of
firewalls you might need to have access to some special TCP/IP ports. This is a list of ports which might be needed.
Port Service Communication
25704 TCP Management Console to Management Server
25706 UDP Management Server to THINTUNE Terminals
25707 UDP THINTUNE Terminals to Management Server
25708 TCP Interface Selector to Management Server
25710 TCP THINTUNE Terminals to Firmware Server
10.4 Serial connectivity for use with terminal emulations and Telnet
In some cases hosts or other devices will we connected to THINTUNE´s serial ports. Serial connectivity primarily is
not supported by the built-in terminal emulation. However, serial connectivity can be achieved by using the
THINTUNE serial portmapper.
In a first step you need to configure the serial port with the Port Menu which is in the Device´s tab. A sample
configuration might look as this:
