For instructions on updating the HP NetRAID-4M driver for operating systems other
than Windows NT and Windows 2000, please see that operating system’s
documentation.
Step 5-Update the HP NetRAID-4M firmware
1. Insert 4M controller firmware update diskette 1 and reboot the server.
2. Choose Update Flash Image on the menu.
3. Choose to update from a:\ and choose OK.
4. The update requests diskette 2. Insert the diskette and press any key to continue.
5. After both of the diskettes have been read, you will be told the write process is
ready to begin. Choose OK. Be sure not to interrupt the write process. It will tell
you when it is complete.
6. Reboot and make sure all disks are still available to the OS. (Remove diskette
before rebooting.)
Step 6-Update the HP NetRAID-4M FAST and/or CLI Utilities
Windows NT and Windows 2000
1. At the main Windows screen, press Start and select Run.
2. Type the pathname for the setup.exe file.
3. Follow the online instructions to complete the installation. If you are installing
the utility on a Windows client system connected to a NetWare server, select the
Remote Install.
4. Reboot the server if required.
NOTE During the operation of removing or installing the HP
NetRAID-4M Utility from Windows NT and Windows 2000
both the FAST utility and the CLI utility will be removed or
installed.
