Firmware for HP Drives

It is important that HP disk drives have the newest available firmware to help insure

mass storage subsystem stability.

The newest available hard disk drive firmware and update utilities are available at:

First check if any of the hard disk drives listed below are installed. If so, download

and use the recommended utility to check and update the firmware on these drives:

Fujitsu Allegro 5L: Use the UTHDD5L.EXE which is a self contained

firmware update utility specifically for updating Fujitsu Allegro 5L drives:

Fujitsu Allegro 5LE: Use the UTHDD5LE.EXE which is a self-contained

firmware update utility specific to Fujitsu Allegro 5LE drives:

For all other hard disk drives follow the steps below to check and update the hard

disk drive firmware. There are two different methods of updating hard disk drive

firmware.
