Preparing for Upgrading the HP NetRAID-4M
After checking the current versions of the HP NetRAID-4M software components
on your system, it may be necessary to update these software components.
1. Backing up the system-before you proceed with the update be sure you have a
current system backup.
2. Creating Update Diskettes-before starting the update, obtain the HP NetRAID-
4M Release 5 software components from the HP web site and download to a
hard disk drive or diskettes.
Software downloads from the HP web site may require the use of diskettes. It is
recommended that you use blank formatted diskettes and that you make multiple
copies of diskettes to serve as a backup in the case of a bad diskette.
Downloading and Creating Diskettes From the HP Web Site
Download all of the HP NetRAID-4M Release 5 software components that are
needed for your system configuration from:
1. Go to http://www.hp.com/bizsupport/servers/hp_server_accessories.html
