IOPn.Diskx Disable Mirrored Disk
This command disables an individual mirrored SCSI disk that is online or offline.
You might decide to disable the target of a running mirror copy to halt the mirror copy. In this
case, you would disable an online disk. To prevent a mirror copy from beginning, you might
decide to disable the target of a pending mirror copy. In this case, you would disable an offline
disk.
Command IOPn.Diskx Disable Mirrored Disk
Console Syntax MTCCONS IOPn.Diskx Disable Mirrored Disk
Variables n – the ID number of the IOP (1 or 2)
x – the ID number of the SCSI disk
Results The online or offline mirrored disk, indicated by Diskx, is disabled
immediately.
Once a disk is disabled, you can use it again only if you explicitly enable it.
A disk remains disabled across IOP reboots.
Warning: Do not disable all members of a mirror set, and do not
disable the source of a mirror copy or Windows NT loses
access to the mirror set.
