Chapter 7 MtcEthP and MtcEtx Messages
IOPn.MtcEtx status: Registry parameter mismatch between IOPs. Using default value.
Severity Warning
Description MtcEtx includes the current parameter values in the Control PDUs used to establish a virtual
circuit. This message is logged if the parameters on the IOPs do not agree. The Event Log Data
section contains the invalid parameter value. MtcEtx will use the default value for the

Another possible cause for this error is a change in the default parameter values between
MtcEtx versions. This message is also logged if one IOP is upgraded to a new version of the
HP NetServer AA software and rebooted without simultaneously upgrading and rebooting the
other IOP.
Action Run a Registry editor and note the values under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MtcEtx
\Parameters
.
Contact your service provider for further assistance.
