IOPn.MtcKmP status: Device I/O control error.
Severity Error
Description This is a generic error indicating that a keyboard or pointer device /IO control request failed.
It can occur during MtcKmP initialization when attempting to perform one of the following
operations:
Connecting to the i8042prt driver
Querying the keyboard attributes
Querying the keyboard indicator parameters
Querying the keyboard typematic rate
Querying the pointer attributes
As a result of the error, the keyboard or pointer device will be failed.
Action If the pointer device is failed, verify the pointer is properly attached to the IOP.
View the message data as Words. The last longword (4 bytes) of data should contain either
an HP NetServer AA or Windows NT error code that can be used by your service provider
to help diagnose the problem.
Note: The only method of enabling a failed keyboard or pointer device is to correct the
problem and reboot the IOP.
IOPn.MtcKmP status: Error in Keyboard Pointer device configuration.
Severity Error
Description This is a fatal initialization error. It occurs when the Input Provider cannot register with the HP
NetServer AA Device Synchronization Layer (DSL). The most likely cause is that the
\Control\Marathon\Providers\KeyboardPointer Registry key is missing or invalid.
Action Reinstall HP NetServer AA software on the IOP.
IOPn.MtcKmP status: Error setting keyboard indicators.
Severity Error
Description An attempt to set the keyboard LEDs (Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock) failed. This error
can occur when input is switched between the CEs and the local IOP.
Action Unless this error occurs frequently, you can ignore it.
Otherwise, view the message data as Words. The last longword (4 bytes) of data should
contain either an HP NetServer AA or Windows NT error code that can be used by your
service provider to help diagnose the problem.
