Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages
IOPn.MtcMon status: A Monitor client failed to initialize with the remote IOP during IOP joining. Client ID = x.
Va r ia b le s x – the ID of the client that failed to initialize with the remote IOP. The client IDs are:
Severity Error
Description When an IOP is booted, it attempts to join the Endurance server configuration by establishing
contact with other IOPs and exchanging configuration information. A client of the Monitor
was unsuccessful in performing this initialization with its peer component on the remote IOP.
In this situation, the IOP joining process is aborted, and the IOP does not become active. The
joining operation is attempted again, and the IOP is marked faulted if the condition persists.

IOPn.MtcMon status: IOPx is faulted and requires repair.
Hardware/Software This message reflects a problem with the Endurance server software components.
Action • Examine the configuration information for the specified client for inconsistencies across
IOPs.
• Also examine the event log for related messages generated by the client for additional
information about the failure.
• After resolving the configuration problem, issue an IOP Enable Operation command; the
IOP attempts the joining process again.
