Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages
IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx cannot be removed because it is already offline.
Variab le s x – the ID of the CE that is offline
Severity Warning
Description This message is generated if you issue a CE Remove command and the CE is already offline.
Hardware/Software This message is generated as a result of a software condition.
Action • No action is required. The message indicates that no action was necessary in response to
the command.
IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx cannot be synchronized because IOPy cannot communicate with it.
Va r ia b le s x – the ID of the CE that cannot be synchronized
y – the ID of the IOP that cannot communicate with the CE
Severity Error
Description The specified CE cannot be synchronized into the system configuration because the specified
IOP is active, and the CE is not in communication with it.
Hardware/Software This message is generated in response to the failure of an Endurance System Interconnect,
usually due to a hardware malfunction.
Action • Examine the Endurance Manager on the specified IOP to verify that the IOP is not in
communication with the CE.
• Examine the physical Interconnect to determine if it is properly connected, and repair it if
it is not.
• In some cases, powering the CE off and then back on can resolve the problem.
• If the condition continues, or if the cause of this message cannot be determined, contact
your service provider for assistance.
