IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx cannot be synchronized because not all required ESIs are available.
Va r ia b le s x – the ID of the CE that cannot be synchronized
Severity Error
Description The specified CE cannot be synchronized into the system configuration because a required
Endurance System Interconnect (ESI) is unavailable.
Related Messages
IOPn.MtcMon status: ESIx is faulted and requires repair.
Hardware/Software This message is generated in response to the hardware failure of an ESI.
Action • Using Endurance Manager, determine which Interconnects are faulted. Repair them and
then use the Endurance Manager to enable the Interconnect.
• If the Interconnect continues to fail, contact your service provider for assistance.
IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx could not be booted because the boot device is not available on IOPy.
Va r ia b le s x – the ID of the CE that could not be booted
y – the ID of the IOP whose boot device is not available
Severity Warning
Description The IOP cannot satisfy a boot request issued by a CE because the SCSI hard disk that is the
source of the boot is not online. Usually, when this message is generated, the boot disk on the
other IOP is online and can service the boot request. This message can be expected if the SCSI
hard disk is the target of an unfinished mirror set copy.
Related Messages
IOPn.MtcMon status: The boot process has started for CEx.
Hardware/Software This message is generated due to a hardware failure of a hard disk or because the hard disk is
the target of an unfinished or unstarted mirror set copy.
Action • If the other IOP is active, this message may be followed by the message IOPn.MtcMon
status: The boot process has started for CEx, indicating that the boot
disk on the other IOP was online. In this case, no action is necessary, other than to ensure
that the Endurance server initiates a mirror copy for the system disk.
• If the hard disk is faulted, you may need to repair or replace it before it can become the
source of the CE boot.
• If the other IOP is not active, the CE is not booted. The other IOP must be made available,
or you must issue an IOP Disk Enable Operation command (after any necessary repairs)
on the local IOP to boot the CE.
