Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages
IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx could not be booted because the keyboard boot driver has not registered with the Monitor
on IOPy.
Va r ia b le s x the ID of the CE that could not be booted
y the ID of the IOP on which the driver was not registered
Severity Error
Description The CE requested to boot the operating system before the Monitor on the IOP received a
registration call from the Endurance Keyboard/Mouse Provider driver. Because the IOP
keyboard is used to boot the operating system, the keyboard must be available before boot can
be allowed to proceed.
This message is generated if the Windows NT Registry ClientList parameter is not correct for
the Endurance Keyboard/Mouse Provider driver. When the Monitor initializes, it examines the
ClientList parameter in the Windows NT Registry to determine which clients must be loaded
for the IOP to join the Endurance server. The ClientList should contain an Endurance
Keyboard/Mouse Provider driver value of 08. If it does not, the IOP may join, and this
message is then generated when the CE attempts to boot.
Hardware/Software This error indicates a problem with the Endurance software configuration.
Action Make sure that the Windows NT Registry ClientList parameter for the Endurance
Keyboard/Mouse Provider driver contains a value of "08". If "08" is not included, reinstall
Endurance server software on the IOP.
If the condition persists, contact your service provider for assistance.
