Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages

IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx could not be booted because the SCSI boot driver has not registered with the Monitor on
IOPy.
Va r ia b le s x – the ID of the CE that could not be booted
y – the ID of the IOP driving the boot process
Severity Error
Description A CE issued a boot request to an IOP that does not have the Endurance SCSI Provider loaded
and active. If both IOPs are active, this message should occur on both simultaneously.
Hardware/Software This message is usually due to a software configuration error that results in the Endurance
SCSI Provider not being loaded. It can also be due to a failure of the SCSI Provider.
Action • During Endurance server configuration, at least one mirrored SCSI disk must be
configured. If this is not the case, reconfigure the IOP (or IOPs) and reboot. Refer to
Chapter 9 in HP NetServer AA Solution Administrator’s Guide for information about how
to reboot an IOP.
• Examine the event log to determine if the Endurance SCSI Provider loaded properly, and
if appropriate, repair any problems indicated. The CE boots when the IOP reboots and has
a properly loaded SCSI Provider.
IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx could not be removed or disabled because CE synchronization is currently in progress.
Va r ia b le s x – the ID of the CE that could not be removed or disabled
Severity Warning
Description This message is generated when the CE is active and you issued a CE Remove or CE Disable
command while CE synchronization was in progress. These operations cannot be performed
during CE synchronization.
Hardware/Software This message is generated as a result of a software condition.
Action The CE Remove or CE Disable command was not performed. Reissue the command when the
CE synchronization process has completed.
