Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages
IOPx.MtcMon status: Differences with IOPx’s product features were detected during IOP initialization.
Va r ia b le s x – the ID of the remote IOP
Severity Error
Description The product features are not the same for the two IOPs. The product features were specified
during the Endurance installation procedure and are determined from the Endurance license
number. IOP joining will not be allowed until this license difference is resolved. One or both
IOPs may be set to the faulted state as a result of this condition.

IOPx.MtcMon status: IOPx initialization failed.
IOPx.MtcMon status: IOPx is faulted and requires repair.
Hardware/Software This message is generated as a result of a software configuration error.
Action • Using the Endurance installation utility, determine which IOP is configured with the
correct license number.
• On the other IOP, reinstall the Endurance software, specifying the same license number.
• Enable the IOP.
• Reboot the IOP and allow it to join the Endurance configuration.
IOPn.MtcMon status: ESIx has been enabled by operator request.
Va r ia b le s x – the ID of the Endurance System Interconnect (ESI) that has been enabled
Severity Informational
Description The specified ESI was enabled using a ESI Enable Operation command. The previously
faulted ESI is now available for configuration into the Endurance server.

Hardware/Software This message is generated as a result of issuing a software command.
Action No action is required.
