IOPn.MtcVidP Status Messages
IOPn.MtcVidP status: A critical error occurred initializing the Video Provider.
Severity Error
Description This message is logged if an error is returned by a Windows NT system routine during the early
stages of MtcVidP initialization. The Event Log Data section contains the Windows NT error
code.
Action Contact your service provider for assistance.
IOPn.MtcVidP status: Error in Video Provider device configuration.
Severity Error
Description This is a fatal initialization error. It occurs when the Video Provider cannot register with the
HP NetServer AA Device Synchronization Layer (DSL). The most likely cause is that the
Registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Marathon\Providers\Video is
missing or invalid.
Action Reinstall the HP NetServer AA software on the IOP.
IOPn.MtcVidP status: Invalid Registry parameter. Using default value.
Severity Error
Description During initialization, the Video Provider reads optional parameters from the Registry. This
message is logged if a parameter is outside the acceptable range. The Event Log Data section
contains the invalid parameter value. The Video Provider will use the default value for the
parameter.
Action • Run a Registry editor and note the values under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MtcVidP\Parameters.
• If the error persists, contact your service provider for assistance.
