MtcCEX: MIC adapter malfunction detected.
Severity Error
Description This message displays in a Windows NT blue screen on a monitor attached directly to a CE
during CE operating system boot when the HP NetServer AA CE Transport detects an
unexpected MIC failure during its startup sequence with the IOP.
Hardware/Software This message most likely indicates a hardware failure in the CE MIC.
Action • Verify that the CE MIC is properly installed and passes its self-test.
• Replace the MIC adapter if necessary.
• If the problem persists, contact your service provider for assistance.
MtcCEX: Received illegal CE control packet.
Severity Warning
Description This message displays in a Windows NT blue screen on a monitor attached directly to a CE
during CE operating system boot when the HP NetServer AA CE Transport receives an invalid
packet from the IOP. The CE Transport attempts to continue the boot process.
Hardware/Software This message may be the result of either an HP NetServer AA software failure, probably on
the IOP, or a malfunctioning MIC adapter in either the CE or the IOP driving the boot process.
Action • If CE boot does not succeed after retrying, reinstall the HP NetServer AA software on
both the IOPs and the CE.
• If the problem continues, first replace the CE MIC, and then replace the IOP MIC.
• If the problem persists, contact your service provider for assistance.
