MtcCEX: Unable to create device object. Status = 0xy
Va r ia b le s y – an error status displayed in hexadecimal
Severity Error
Description This message displays in a Windows NT blue screen on a monitor attached directly to a CE
during CE operating system boot when the HP NetServer AA CE Transport experiences an
unexpected failure during its initialization while creating Windows NT data structures. The CE
operating system boot terminates.
Hardware/Software This message indicates a software failure, most likely a Windows NT root that is not properly
installed.
Action • Rebuild the CE root, and reinstall the HP NetServer AA software.
• If the problem persists, contact your service provider for assistance.
MtcCEX: Unable to find the CE MIC adapter.
Severity Error
Description This message displays in a Windows NT blue screen on a monitor attached directly to a CE
when the HP NetServer AA CE Transport cannot locate the MIC adapter. This error is fatal to
CE operations and is followed by a reset of the CE.
Hardware/Software This message indicates either a hardware or software configuration error.
Action The CE is reset and may attempt a reboot. This error may occur if MtcCEX is configured to
run in a non-Marathon Windows NT root.
• Rerun the HP NetServer AA installation on both IOPs.
• Boot the IOP in Offline HP NetServer AA I/O Processor mode and reinstall the HP
NetServer AA CE software.
• If the failure persists, contact your service provider for assistance.
