Tuple Commands
The tuple commands perform operations on a tuple of the Endurance server. Table 5-34 lists the
tuple commands.
Tuple Disable Operation
This command disables (removes) the specified tuple from the active Endurance server
configuration. When this command is issued, both the CE and IOP in the specified tuple are
disabled.
Command Tuplen Disable Operation From IOPx
Console Syntax MTCCONS Tuplen Disable Operation From IOPx
Variables n – the ID number of the Tuple (1 or 2)
x – the ID number of the IOP (1 or 2)
Results If the CE operating system is booted and the CE in the tuple is the only active
CE, the CE operating system is shut down before the tuple is disabled. The
CE and IOP in the specified tuple remain disabled and are not configured into
the Endurance server until they are enabled, either together or separately.
To verify that Tuplen has been disabled, either:
Check the tuple status displayed in the Endurance Manager Main
window.
Issue an IOPn.Monitor Show Configuration command from either IOP to
make sure that the CE and IOP are disabled and any associated
components (such as CEn.MIC) are offline.
Review the Windows Event Viewer for a message that indicates that the
tuple and its associated CE and IOP were disabled.
