This report describes major software updates to each release of the HP Navigator CD-ROM and instructions for obtaining a current release.

5 Install Additional Memory SIMM Installation Rules Installation Procedure ! use only HP SIMMs listed on the Technical Reference Label on the HP NetServer chassis ! all SIMMs on the board run at 60 ns, 36-bit, fast-page mode ! SIMMs must be installed in identical pairs in the banks indicated (Bank A comes preinstalled with a pair of 8 MB or 16 MB SIMMs) 1. Remove the air cooling duct. Lift the front until the T-hook is free of its slot as shown below.

7 Install Additional Mass Storage Devices NOTE Installing a SCSI Tape Drive 1. Set the jumpers on the device to an unused address. Refer to the Technical Reference Label, inside the NetServer, and to the SCSI addressing example, below, for more information. Verify that termination power is off. If you are installing an IDE drive or internal SCSI devices with certain configurations, you may need additional cables or adapters.
