Installation Options
To overcome installation issues use one of the following installation options:
• Use the Navigator Installation Assistant method to install the product.
(Recommended)
• Use the installation instructions provided below to manually install the NOS.
Automated Installation of BackOffice Small Business Server via HP
Installation Assistant
Your HP NetServer has a special program called the Installation Assistant. This program
will automatically create a DOS partition, format the partition, install DOS, and connect
the NetServer to the CD ROM drive. It will start the Small Business Server installation
process and install the appropriate NetServer mass storage drivers. To use this program,
you must choose the Automated Mode of NOS Installation after selecting the NOS from
the Configuration/Installation Assistant. Configuration/Installation Assistant is available
from the main menu when you boot your system off of the HP NetServer Navigator CD.
The Installation Assistant provides on screen instructions for configuring your system
and installing BackOffice Small Business Server.
