Accessing the Disk Array Utilities
The Disk Array Utilities are used to perform disk array configuration tasks during initial HP NetServer
installation and when changing disk array options. The Disk Array Utilities reside on the HP NetServer
Manager CD-ROM and can be accessed in three ways:
Express Configuration contains the Disk Array Utilities as one of the steps when a controller
card is installed and should be used when initially setting up the HP NetServer.
Custom Configuration, used for custom configuration or when adding or removing options
after initial configuration, also presents the Disk Array Utilities.
NetServer Utilities Menu is used to directly access the Disk Array Utilities.
To access the Disk Array Utilities, perform the following steps:
1. Turn on the HP NetServer and load the HP NetServer Manager CD-ROM in the CD ROM drive.
Press the Reset button on the front of the HP NetServer. The HP NetServer Manager Main
Menu will appear.
2. To access the Disk Array Utilities through the utilities directory, select NetServer Utilitiesand
press Enter.
3. At the NetServer Utilities Menu, select Disk Array Utilitiesand press Enter. The Utilities have
help screens to assist you in the disk array setup.
