Disconnect the Embedded SCSI Controller
6. The embedded SCSI controller on the I/O board, shown in Figures 4 and 5, is currently connected either to the
original SCSI cable, or to a terminator plug. Disconnect the embedded SCSI controller in one of these ways:
A. If the original SCSI cable is connected to the embedded SCSI controller, disconnect it as shown in
Figure 4. To do so, squeeze the extractors on the connector, as shown in Figure 3, and then pull the
connector off. This connector on the original SCSI cable will remain unconnected.

B. If there is a terminator plug on the embedded SCSI controller, remove the terminator plug, as shown in
Figure 5. To do so, squeeze the extractors on the terminator plug, as shown in Figure 3, and then pull off the
terminator plug. Store the terminator plug for future use because the embedded SCSI controller MUST be
terminated if it is disconnected.
