Chapter 9 Connecting the Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, and UPS

NOTE If you have a console switch box, refer to the switch box’s user

guide for instructions on connecting the keyboard, mouse, and

monitor.

NOTE The Keyboard and Mouse ports are interchangeable. You can

plug the keyboard into the Mouse port, if you want, or the

mouse into the Keyboard port.

2. If you have a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) installed in the rack ,

turn it on. Use the supplied serial cable to connect the UPS to the HP

NetServer. Refer to the user guide included with the UPS, and to the HP

NetServer Rack Installation Road Map, for additional information.

3. Connect the monitor power cord to AC power.
