On Off Power to the slot is on, and the slot is operating
normally. Do not remove the board from the slot.
On On Power to the slot is on, but the slot needs attention. Do
not remove the board from the slot.
Off On Power to the slot is off, and the slot needs attention.
You can remove the board from this slot.
Off Off Power to the slot is off. You can remove the board from
this slot.

Power-Up and Power-Down Procedures
Power-Up Procedure
1. Make sure that the servers power cord is connected to a power source, and
that the PWR light on each of the servers power supplies is flashing
green. (See Figure 2-6.)
2. Press the Power button on the control panel. (See Figure 2-2.)
Power Down Procedure
1. Log off all users. Back-up files. Follow instructions in your network
operating system (NOS) documentation to gracefully shut down all
networking software and applications.
2. Press the power switch on the HP NetServers control panel when
prompted by the operating system. Normally, this is the complete
procedure.
NOTE The power supplies will continue to provide standby current to
the NetServer until the power cord is disconnected.
