Dual Power Supply and High Density Configuration Examples
A dual power supply configuration can be created by ensuring that two different
branch circuits feed two different Uninterruptible Power Supplies, which in turn
power two PDUs. Figure 2-10 shows a dual power cabling example. This
example shows two LXr 8000 units powered by two PDUs, and two UPS units.
Plugging each UPS into a different branch circuit ensures dual power supply is
maintained.
A high density configuration is illustrated in Figure 2-11. For this example, one
41-EIA Unit Rack (a 2-meter HP Systems or HP System/E rack) is completely
filled with power supplies, servers, and storage units. Two mass storage units
"sandwich" each NetServer.
