Chapter 6 Using Integrated RA to Manage Server Operations

If the Integrated RA SNMP agents are loaded, server events can also generate

SNMP traps on the above events to a management client connected to the

network. For more information on using the Integrated RA SNMP agent, see the

section, "Using SNMP Server Management Applications with Integrated RA"

later in this chapter.

7. Administrator/Pager Configuration

To insure secure communications with an administrator at a remote site, Integrated

RA provides an Administrator Configuration window where you can identify and

manage administrator notification for up to eight different administrators . Each

administrator record includes:

• Name

• Password (mandatory)

• Dial-back Number

• Pager Number

The ability to specify notifications also allows an administrator to provide backup

administrators with access to the server through Integrated RA.

Managing Administrator Configuration

When you choose Administrator/Pager Configuration, Integrated RA displays the

current administrator configurations. For example:

You can also set up and modify user records by running the Integrated RA

Configuration Utility on a server with Integrated RA. For more information on

using the Integrated RA Configuration Utility, see Chapter 3.
