hp mc/serviceguard for Linux configuration guide for HP Netservers

Note:
Please contact your HP Storage representative for the latest firmware revision for switch
connectivity support on Linux.
Note:
The emulex driver is delivered in arbitrated loop mode. If switches are set in fabric mode then the
driver paramters need to be changed to match. This is documented at the emulex web site:
http://www.emulex.com/
. To find the detailed instrustions select "Drivers, software, and manuls" under
quicklinks. Then select by operating system: Linux and on that page select Fibre channel drivers. Select
"configure driver" for the appropriate driver version. This document details how to change the various
parameters.
Auto Path with MC/ServiceGuard for Linux
HP SureStore Auto Path software lets you define storage units that include redundant storage links. This is
an alternative to the use of the md driver to build mirrored storage. One advantage of Auto Path is the
ability to define load-balancing for performance improvement among the links you have defined.
Auto Path, when installed, provide multiple pathways to the LUNS in your disk arrays. The disk arrays are
cabled to each cluster node using two separate FibreChannel interface cards to provide redundant links to
the data from the node.
