For how many years can I receive free phone support on my HP Server/HP Netserver? What is the warranty on HP internal accessories? You can receive free phone support for the Product Life of your HP Server product. HP supports all HP Servers for a full five years after the product’s obsolescence date. Internal accessories are HP products which have been installed inside an HP Server/HP Netserver by you or by the factory.
How will my HP Server/HP Netserver be restored if I have a hardware failure? In the event that a technician is sent to your site, they will physically replace the defective part and reconnect the power and data cables. We recommend that you keep backups of your software and data, as you are responsible for restoring the software, including the network operating system, applications, and data. You are also responsible for system configurations, including hard drive partitioning and setting RAID levels.
What should I have ready before I call for service? Before you call, have this information ready: · Product model name and number · Product serial number · Applicable error messages from system or diagnostics · Applicable hardware driver revision levels · Add-on boards or hardware installed · Third-party hardware or software · Operating system type and revision What should I expect when I call for service? Service calls follow this process: 1.
Can I accidentally void my HP Server/HP Netserver warranty? You cannot accidentally void your HP Server/HP Netserver warranty. HP warranty covers on-site visits caused by HP factory integrated third-party products that are internal but not external to your HP Server/HP Netserver. HP reserves the right to charge for services where the cause of the error is found to be a non-certified third-party product.
HP warrants all the software media that comes with your HP Server/HP Netserver for NINETY (90) DAYS from the date of purchase.
Is my warranty still valid if I ship my HP Server/HP Netserver into or out of the country? Your HP Server/HP Netserver will receive the standard warranty in the country of purchase. If you move your Server to another country where HP has established legal subsidiaries or International Distributors, you will receive the destination country standard warranty.
Hewlett-Packard Server/Netserver Limited Warranty HP warrants to you, the end-user Customer, that HP Server/HP Netserver hardware components and supplies will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use after the date of purchase for the period specified in this booklet titled Warranty & Service/Support Booklet.
HP Factory Installed Third-party Operating System and Application Software HP warrants for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of the purchase the installation and configuration of the HP factory installed third-party operating system and application software. HP does not warrant that the functionality of the third-party operating system and software will be uninterrupted or error free.
HP Software License Agreement Your HP Product Contains Software Programs Carefully read this license agreement and limited warranty statement before proceeding to operate this equipment. Rights in the software are offered only on the condition that the customer agrees to all terms and conditions of the license agreement. Proceeding to operate the equipment indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Transfer of Rights in Software Customer may transfer rights in the software to a third party only as part of the transfer of all rights and only if customer obtains the prior agreement of the third party to be bound by the terms of this License Agreement. Upon such a transfer, customer agrees that his/her rights in the software are terminated and that he/she will either destroy his/her copies and adaptations or deliver them to the third party.
Limitation of Warranty HP does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of an HP Server/HP Netserver. If the customer transfers an HP Server/HP Netserver to another user, warranty service is available to that user for the remainder of the warranty period. Consumables, such as batteries, have no warranty.
TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LOCAL LAW, THE REMEDIES IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT ARE CUSTOMER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES. EXCEPT AS INDICATED ABOVE, IN NO EVENT WILL HP OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF DATA OR FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL (INCLUDING LOST PROFIT OR DATA), OR OTHER DAMAGE, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE.
